The Editors of the Journal have agreed to a Special Issue focusing on ecosystem services of wetlands, which will contain around 30 high quality scientific papers.

The Hydrological Sciences Journal is an international leading publication that has included many technical papers on wetlands, such as the special issue on wetlands of South America.

Guest Editor Prof. Mike Acreman of the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology in the UK is planning to produce a further special issue on ecosystem services of wetlands.
