Hey everyone,
I am new to the forum. I am a Water Resource Engineer student of PhD in University of engineering and technology Lahore Pakistan and need some guidance on a HEC-RAS model I am working on.
I am modeling a "BAGLIHAR DAM" peaking releases analyses and have a hydrograph (generated in HEC-RAS)for which I am attempting to determine its affects on downstream via unsteady-flow.
I am running the unsteady file for 7 days, with a small time-step. My current model with the smaller hydrograph and inflows, will not run correctly. I am getting huge fluctuations in both flow and velocity, with times of negative flows and velocity.
Does anyone have experience with this? What am I missing? why my discharges are coming negative??what mean of this negative flows??can i change my negative flows into positive flows??
Any help is appreciated!!kindly give your suggestions
